Haven't been to Tenby in well nigh 40 years. We decided to stay in a 4 bedroomed cottage set about a couple of miles north of Tenby between tenby and Saundersfoot - click here for details
After a nightmare 6 hour journey on the Monday (marble whined a lot !!) we settled in for 4 days of peace and quiet and a lot of walking in the area. Highlights were Wednesday when we walked along Tenby's huge South Beach with temperatures in the 70's and were able to sunbathe for a few minutes despite Marble !!!. Also visited Pendine Sands - scene of many a World Land Speed record attempt in the 1920's and 1930's - in fact in 1924 Malcolm Campbell set the record at 146.163 mph in Bluebird - click here for more details
Thursday 6th October saw us undertake the coastal cliff walk from the Cottage to Saundersfoot - probably a distance of around 3 miles (6 miles Return). What the map did not show was that within that 3 mile walk were many 300 foot ascents and descents - this is the first time I have seen Marble close to exhaustion - and Pauline and I for that matter.
