Tilly's Restoration

small logo

November 2005

Tilly is a 1971 Morris Minor Traveller finished in Bedoin Beige. I acquired her in March 2003 and she has been lovingly maintained ever since - acquiring new front King Pins and supsension and a new clutch and pedal mechanism in the spring of 2005. Welding was also required in 2005 to get her through the MOT.

Months of thought finally resulted in a trip in Tilly down to JLH Morris Minors nr Daventry and a thorough examination of Tilly to see if she was fit enough to undergo some serious restoration. Luckily she was and she is booked in for some blasting and welding starting in February. The deal is for me to complete the strip down to bare chassis and bodywork. After days of avoiding it - work commenced on the 28th November and this is hopefully a pictorial record of the strip down and subsequent restoration.
